The Social Business Trust has made an investment of £700,000 in the Inspiring Futures Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that provides personalised careers advice, motivating young people to explore their plans for future education and employment. As a social enterprise, the Foundation generates its income from services delivered to schools, both in the UK and internationally.

One of Social Business Trust’s investments, Moneyline, has made it on to the final shortlist of four in this year’s Guardian Social Enterprise Award.
Moneyline is a high-street service offering affordable loans, money advice, bank accounts and linked savings accounts. In July, SBT agreed to invest £100,000 in cash in Moneyline, as well as professional; support worth up to £350,000.
Following a successful project on Moneyline’s IT system by a team from SBT partner Credit Suisse, it was recently decided to speed up further investment. Moneyline will receive up to £200,000 to complete the development of its technology.
