Fierce but friendly rivalry dominated as teams of top business people battled to win the Social Business Trust Big City Quiz 2018 last week.
Hosted by Clifford Chance and supported by all SBT’s corporate partners, the event saw the Smart-EYs team from EY beat off strong competition, to be crowned champions with Bain & Company’s Brain & Co team taking second place by just one point.
The event provided an opportunity for SBT corporate partners and other supporters to network and enjoy some fun together. It also raised £54,000 towards SBT’s social enterprise grant fund.
SBT founding partner, Permira, provided welcome drinks to get the evening off to a lively start and their events team decorated the venue and provided additional support
Every table hosted a CEO or senior leader from an SBT-supported social enterprise.
Guests enjoyed excellent musical entertainment from former Britain’s Got Talent finalists Only Boys Aloud from Wales (pictured).
An auction resulted in further competition, with people vying to win donated lots including a box at the Royal Albert Hall to see Cirque de Soleil and a stay at Soho Farmhouse.
Adele Blakebrough CEO of SBT said: “It was a fun evening with an important goal to introduce more people to SBT and raise funds to help great social enterprises grow. We’re grateful to everyone who gave generously to make it such a success.“
