The third episode of Social Business Trust’s The Purpose Podcast is now live, featuring three chief executives at the forefront of social enterprise – working to fulfil the potential of less advantaged people around the UK.

Episode 3, Changing Lives – Social enterprises and the part they play, includes discussion from Anne-Marie Canning MBE, CEO of The Brilliant ClubChris Wright, CEO of Catch22 and Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa, CEO of Career Ready, on how social enterprises and charities are playing a crucial role in driving opportunities for people from underrepresented backgrounds. They caution about the societal challenges, including the inbuilt inequalities and disadvantages that many people face from birth, and the importance of achieving the necessary scale to accelerate collaboration and amplify impact.

Guests tell their unique experiences, sharing how they’ve helped close the gap to ensure people from all walks of life have access to the resources they need to be successful. They emphasise the necessity of education and employability – and how the programmes they run help to create a fair and prosperous future for people, no matter what hand they’ve been dealt. We also hear some of the stories of impact that bring their organisations to life.
